Installation Guidelines (as sent to you with the Frame Protectors). • I suggest fitting the Frame Protectors on the RIGHT hand side of your bike first (unless you have a bike lift, then it will make no difference). • Place your bike on the side stand. • Familiarise yourself with the design of the 3 right hand side Frame Protectors – when compared with the design of the bike frame. NOTE: these Protectors have been designed to be both functional AND enhance the appearance of your bike. The greater the care you take in applying the Protectors, the greater the chance in achieving both objectives. • Thoroughly clean the three areas of the frame using one of the sachets of cleaner supplied. • Having chosen the position for the right hand side Protectors, place the individual Protectors in position and draw a pencil line around them. • Remove backing paper from a Protector, place into chosen position, repeat for other two. • Repeat for the left hand side Protectors with the bike on the centre stand. NOTE: The Frame Protectors 3M adhesive requires the following considerations: • Firm pressure develops better adhesive contact and improves bonding. • To obtain optimum adhesion, the bonding surfaces must be thoroughly clean and dry using the sachets of surface cleaner provided. • Ideal application temperature is 21ºC to 38ºC (70ºF to 100ºF). Surface temperature below 10ºC (50ºF) is not recommended because the adhesive becomes too firm to adhere readily. However, once correctly applied, low temperature adhesion is totally satisfactory. • When applied correctly the adhesive can take up to 24 hours to set.
